Located in the heart of the downtown arts district, at the corner of historic Blackberry Alley, warehouse14 is home to MTVarts “making theatre” factory. Our brick-and-mortar home houses storage, scene shop, costume shop, and rehearsal space. Featuring a platform/stage the size of Knox Memorial, warehouse14 also hosts Pop Up Blackbox Theatre in January and after school arts education. Photo credit Terry Thurston.
Thanks to Knox County Landmarks, Ariel Foundation, and artist John Donnelly, the east wall along Blackberry Alley features a mural depicting the history of theatre.

Knox Memorial – Rented Performance Venue
The gorgeous Memorial theater boasts nearly 1000 seats and emanates a classic feel ready to showcase any production! After major technological updates in 2019, the theater now boasts a sound and lighting booth situated on the main floor, new rigging, drapes, lighting, video, and sound systems. Complete with five dressing rooms in the south tower, two lower level dressing rooms, and proscenium stage with orchestra pit. A staple site for Knox County performing arts for almost a century, the Memorial Theater is where community and technology bring the arts to life.

Woodward Opera House – Rented Performance Venue
After being lovingly restored over the past 20 years, this breathtaking facility recalls days gone by. The authentic recreation of the historic opera house, modern comforts and latest technology brings more than expected to today’s audiences.
Woodward Opera House – https://www.thewoodward.org/ – first used in 2019 for MTVarts Classics Series for Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun’. It will be the venue for two shows in 2024.

The Alcove Theatre – Rented Performance Venue
The Alcove serves as a social center for downtown. Hosting business meetings, family celebrations, and dinner theaters throughout the year, playing a vital role in maintaining Mount Vernon’s dynamic downtown community. The dinner theater provides an intimate setting alongside exquisite cuisine, modern technology and superb entertainment. The Alcove thanks all of their loyal customers that have enabled their historic anniversary, celebrating a Century of Dining Excellence.
MTVarts provides production support for Bruce Jacklin & Company and occasionally hosts events like donor appreciation at the Alcove.
