WORKSHOP – Footlights

DESCRIPTION:

Students ages 7-9 yrs will be learning about theater from trained staff. Students will begin to understand what a show entails and learn the basics of theater. Classes will be held at the Family Life Center at First Naz on Coshocton Avenue. Students will be putting on their show Tuesday July 16th at the Woodward.

More information will come about tickets and the time of the showcase.

WORKSHOP – C.R.E.W.S.

DESCRIPTION:

Students ages 10-18 yrs will be learning the backstage jobs while working close with Footlights teachers. C.R.E.W.S students will be working daily on props, costumes, lights, sound, and scenery work for the Footlights show. This workshop will be held at the Family Life Center at First Naz on Coshocton Avenue.

C.R.E.W.S. will work the Footlights Showcase on Tuesday July 16.
C.R.E.W.S students will also help during the Little Mermaid Jr musical in September.

CLASS – Prop Design/Creation

DESCRIPTION:

Students will learn the elements of prop design and creation in this course. This course welcomes newcomers as well as students experienced in the design and creation of props for the stage.

DESCRIPTION:

Looking to improve your vocal technique? In this course, we will cover vocal techniques that are used for different styles of singing in theatre. Overall, each student will learn the basics of healthy singing, the anatomy of the voice, and the differences in vocal styles. Throughout the course we will cover a range of different music samples from musical theatre, and students will be expected to sing and learn a variety of music. This course is designed for high school students as it covers more advanced vocal content. This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00 except for July 4th. The final class will meet on July 5th from 2:30-4:00.
