CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Year-long programming for MTVarts builds on the organization’s mission to offer diverse, educational, and enriching opportunities in the performing and visual arts. Classes and workshops focus on specialized skills such as directing, stage makeup, and audition techniques, alongside foundational courses like acting, theatre basics, and vocal training. Classes will cater to a wide range of age groups, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
Summer Workshop

DATES: June 22-26
TIMES:
artsIQ (ages 10-18): 9 a.m.(8:30 a.m. drop off) – 3 p.m.
Footlights (ages 7-10): 9 a.m. (8:30 drop off) – 12:30 p.m. – includes showcase performance on Friday, June 26
LOCATION:
This workshop will take place in the Hill and Bolton Theaters on the Kenyon College campus.
The event is independently organized and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Kenyon College.
COST:
artsIQ: $210
Footlights: $160
Show fee: $110 ($60 if student attends workshop).
Workshop sibling discount 10% off each student if 3 or more siblings are attending.
Auditions for artsIQ “The Wizard of Oz” will be June 27 with callbacks on June 28.
Munchin audition date is June 28. More info will be coming soon.
Those attending workshops are not required to audition.
NOTE: Those interested in auditioning for roles the artsIQ production of “The Wizard of Oz” must be ages 12-18. Ages 9-12 may audition for the roles of munchkins/Ozians only. Munchkin participation comes with a higher level of parent participation, expected presence at all of tech week and every performance (including school).
