Hannah Marshall
MTVarts has regularly brought in a variety of teachers, artists, and special guests for classes and workshop experiences. Now the organization is pleased to introduce Hannah Faith Marshall to the community as its artist-in-residence for the next year, where she will focus on enhancing educational activities.
Marshall is a New York City-based singer, actor and performer, born and raised in New England. Hannah studied Musical Theatre at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She is a passionate artist, committed to bringing her absolute best to every performance opportunity. One of her favorite quotes states, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” As someone who has been so impacted by the arts, it is Hannah’s life mission to freely give the love and joy of expression to others.
“I fell in love with music and performing from a very young age, but didn’t start to pursue this passion seriously until high school. One of my favorite roles was playing Joan of Arc, where I actually cut my real hair on stage during our final performance,” Marshall explained. “After majoring in musical theatre at AMDA, I made my New York City debut in ‘Broadway’s Rising Stars’ at The Town Hall, an off-broadway theatre also known as ‘the busiest theatre on Broadway.’” Marshall has performed in countless shows and cabarets at many of New York City’s most famous venues such as 54 Below, Don’t Tell Mama, Broadway Comedy Club and more.
Hannah brings not only passion for and professional experience in the arts, but the heart of a teacher to our programming. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and I feel so lucky to have her investing in us, our kids and community for this next year,” said Jessica Ryals, MTVarts board member and fundraiser for the artist-in-residence program.
“Our sincere gratitude to all our generous and loyal donors who consistently support MTVarts in ‘making theatre,’” said Producer and Business Manager Janis Stone. “We want to give special appreciation to those who contributed to the Raise the Curtain on Arts Education Capital Campaign.” They include Energy Cooperative Operation Round Up, Richard and Arline Landers Foundation, Joe and LeeAnne Jurkowitz, Ora and Sue Smith, Otho Eyster and Carol Garner, Joe and Sally Nelson, Keith and Vickie Sant, Jana Stewart, Austin (Trey) and Carla Swallow, Angela Coyne, John and Jane DeCosky, Aaron and Chris Cook, Megan Evans, Amy Murnen, Jay and Sonia Corrigan , Jesse and Jessica Ryals, Zac Sherman, Wendi Fowler, Barry Bowden, Lottie Shire, Ada Carey and Rachel Spear.
“This community believes in the arts!” shared Artistic Director Bruce Jacklin. “Your continued support is vital to our mission, and we are incredibly grateful for your dedication to arts education.”
