Year-long programming for MTVarts builds on the organization’s mission to offer diverse, educational, and enriching opportunities in the performing and visual arts. Classes and workshops focus on specialized skills such as directing, stage makeup, and audition techniques, alongside foundational courses like acting, theatre basics, and vocal training. Classes will cater to a wide range of age groups, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.

CLASS: Vocal Technique

DESCRIPTION:
This class is designed to help students unlock the full potential of their voice, whether for musical theatre, choral performance, or speaking roles. Students will learn the fundamentals of healthy vocal production, including breath support, proper alignment, and resonance. The class will also explore vocal dynamics, diction, and phrasing, tailored to the unique demands of theatrical performance. Participants will work with a variety of musical pieces to apply these techniques, gaining confidence and versatility in their singing. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in vocal health and expressive singing, empowering them to approach any performance with skill and artistry.

AGES – Footlights: ages 7-9; arts IQ ages 10-18
COST – Footlights $150; artsIQ $200
REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE APRIL 21-MAY 2.
DESCRIPTION:
Footlights is designed for the younger student as an introduction to the world of theatre. A showcase performance will be held at the end of the week.
ArtsIQ is focused on the older student with a more in-depth look at acting, singing, choreography, behind-the-scenes elements, and more.
