Over 600 students from Mount Vernon City, Danville, Fredericktown, Knox County Career Center, Clearfork, East Knox and MVNU attended the daytime school performance on Thursday, May 2 followed by an interesting talk back session. Public performances are FREE to college, high school and middle school students with valid school ID. Thank you John Jurkowitz, Principles, Teachers and Bus Drivers for making it possible for the students to attend. They were polite, attentive and engaged.

This year's performance was underwritten in part by donations from McDONALDS of Mount Vernon and the YOUTH PHILANTHROPY INITIATIVE of the Community Foundation Of Mount Vernon and Knox County.

The concept of the classics series was suggested by Matt Starr and Bruce Jacklin in 2008. The series was designed to bring classic literature to life as the author/playwright intended. The purpose was to provide local high school and college students the opportunity to learn through the experience of live theatre.
